Protecting and Serving Ada, Ohio Since 1861

S.A.F.E.R. Kids
Throughout each year the Ada Police Department presents several safety programs and events geared towards teaching our kids to lead safer lives. We have dubbed all of our kids programs S.A.F.E.R. Kids. We believe that it is important to interact with our kids early on to build trust, friendships and community participation. We want our youngsters to know even from an early age that they all have a part in making our village a safer community.

By visiting our classrooms and teaching drug education, gun safety, personal safety, fire safety, bullying and other topics, we hope to build partnerships and avoid enforcement actions later in life. Our officer's present safety belt programs and bike rodeos for our youth, equipping them with bike helmets and other items to remind them of the importance of personal safety responsibilities.

Without a doubt, our SAFER Kids programs are a big hit with the kids and very important as well.
